O’Week and O’Cup 2024: a look back in pictures!

Since the introduction of Outremer Week in 2018, around 1,000 owners of Outremer catamarans have been trained. Once again this year, almost 100 owners gathered at La Grande-Motte from 12 to 17 May for this new edition of O’Week.

Training at Outremer: dive into the heart of the O’Week Spring 2024

From the 12th to the 17th, we welcomed our future owners for a week of training and sharing. Between manoeuvres, sailing sessions, marine weather, medical care, motorisation, electronics and safety at sea, our participants acquired invaluable skills.

The European Yacht of the Year ceremony has come and gone, and it was with great pleasure that the Outremer team received the European Yacht Of The Year 2024 award in the Multihull category for its latest model, the Outremer 52.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2023

Record breaking number of Outremers registered for ARC/ ARC+

Look back at the genesis of the Outremer 52

It all started in the fall of 2020. Building on the success of the Outremer 55, the first plenary meetings were held to imagine the successor to Outremer 51.

Route du Rhum: 2nd place for Roland Jourdain onboard 5X We Explore

Following an epic race across the Atlantic, Roland Jourdain, onboard the Outremer 5X We Explore crossed the finish line of the 12th edition of the Route du Rhum on Friday 25th November 2022.

Outremer 51 owner Hans wins Refeno regatta

Aboard Aventureiro 4, the sailor recently won the Blue Ribbon of the 33rd edition of the Recife Fernando de Noronha International Regatta (Refeno): an annual gathering of sailors from all around Brazil racing 300nm offshore to the beautiful and isolated island of Fernando de Noronha. It’s the first time a sailor wins this race solo.

Outremer 5X We Explore – getting ready for the Route du Rhum 2022

Skipper Roland Jourdain onboard the Outremer 5X Racing – We Explore, has just completed his qualification course from Cascais, Portugal to Concarneau, France. To continue to get to grips with his new boat, the skipper plans to continue training in the coming weeks.

Outremer Week Spring 22 – how community can nurture learning

Our bi-annual event united once again almost a hundred Outremer owners from all around the world for a week of intensive training, followed by a weekend of sailing. This is the first time an Outremer 5X integrates flax fiber instead of fiberglass and a first in the history of boating for a boat of this size (18m28) – integrating so many biomaterials.

Outremer 55: 10/10 on the first sea trials!

You might have noticed, our new Outremer 55 is undergoing a number of sea trials and despite these challenging times, the 55’ continues to attract the media’s attention. Nearby the French Frioul Islands and along the Spanish coast, she passed the first journalists’ sea trials with glowing results.

Inauguration of the first fully electric Outremer

Jimmy Cornell’s Outremer 4.zero, the first fully electric Outremer, was christened last Friday, in the port of La Grande-Motte. Much of Jimmy’s family – his wife, daughter and son – were present, having travelled from England, to celebrate and prepare for the 80-year-old sailor’s departure.

Behind the scenes of the first Outremer 55

After several years of planning and perfecting the plans for the first Outremer 55, production started in January 2020. We had the chance to work during this period with several renowned personalities such as the architects of VPLP Design, as well as the designers Patrick Le Quément and Franck Darnet.
