At the heart of the Outremer shipyard, the team is sharing the latest progress on the next generation of Outremer catamarans. Designed to meet the expectations of today’s sailors, these new models embody the natural evolution of the Outremer DNA: performance, reliability, and the pure joy of bluewater sailing.

Outremer 48: a key milestone with the deck joining

The Lorient yard has just reached a major milestone with the deck joining of the Outremer 48. Always a symbolic moment in catamaran building, this phase marks the birth of the boat’s final silhouette and the transition toward interior fit-out and finishing work.

Matthieu Rougevin-Baville, Sales Director at Outremer, was at the Lorient yard to witness this key stage.
“It’s an iconic moment. This is when you really start to see the boat’s final look and living volumes. It’s also a technically demanding phase, requiring many adjustments and always carrying a bit of suspense. We can’t wait to see her on the water.”

Outremer 64: moving into exterior finishing

On the Outremer 64, the project began this month with the eagerly awaited stage of applying the gelcoat. This phase will give the boat its exterior appearance. The teams at La Grande-Motte are now moving on to applying the materials. We will keep you informed of progress step by step.

Designed for the most ambitious sailing programmes, the Outremer 64 embodies Outremer’s vision of the uncompromising long-distance cruising catamaran.

A generation built for offshore sailing

These tangible milestones reflect the commitment of Outremer’s teams in developing this new generation of catamarans. Every step, every detail, is driven by the same goal: offering sailors boats that can rack up the miles, cross oceans, and support life projects at sea for the long run.

We’ll continue to share upcoming key milestones for these next-generation models as construction progresses.
