Three weeks, from 31 May to 21 June, to turn your dream of the open sea into a reality, in a reassuring and wonderfully friendly atmosphere.

Three weeks to set sail, unlike any other
Do you dream of setting sail, but want to do so in a reassuring and, above all, friendly environment? The Warm-Up Med 2027, organised by Grand Large Yachting, is made for you. Designed for owners just starting out on their journey or looking to gain experience before a big departure, it’s not just a cruise: it’s a proper warm-up.
On the agenda:

- Your first nights at sea in complete safety
- An introduction to marine weather and route planning
- A warm, friendly fleet atmosphere, punctuated by opportunities to meet and socialise

Free sailing in the heart of the Mediterranean
The route is deliberately flexible: participants decide on their itinerary together with the organising team, depending on weather conditions. Setting sail from La Grande Motte, the fleet sails freely between the Balearic Islands, Sardinia and Corsica.
Depending on conditions, the route forms a loop of around 800 nautical miles: an option leaning more towards Sardinia (≈810 miles) or one focusing more on the Balearic Islands (≈700 miles). A technical stopover is planned en route, and support is provided from start to finish by a dedicated Event Manager.
A community that extends beyond the marina
This is the very philosophy of the Grand Large Yachting Rally: free sailing, but with support. The freedom to chart your own course, combined with the peace of mind that comes from being supported by a team of experts at every stage. Crews meet in the Mediterranean, and many find themselves reunited a few months or years later, on the other side of the world.
The Warm Up Med has a clear purpose: to prepare those who dream of setting off on a grand voyage. It follows in the footsteps of Grand Large Yachting’s great adventures, pioneered by sailor Jimmy Cornell with the World Odyssey 500 (2021–2024), followed by the Nordic Odyssey and the World Odyssey 25, which will set sail from La Grande-Motte in September 2025 for a three-year round-the-world voyage. From those first few miles in the Mediterranean to the great ocean crossings, it is the same community that is sailing.
