The 2026 Outremer Cup came to a close against the stunning background of the Bahamas, following several days filled with fleet sailing, daily regattas, conversations among owners, and all those simple moments that make the Outremer community so special.

This latest edition once again highlighted what makes this event so unique

Of course, there’s the setting. There’s the beauty of the anchorages, the light of the Bahamas, and the boats gathered on the water. The Outremer Cup is, above all, an opportunity for owners to come together and share much more than just a boat: a shared passion for sailing, for learning, for comparing experiences, for improving, and for enjoying the sea together.

Throughout the week, the crews were able to come together on the water in a friendly atmosphere. The daily regattas provided just the right amount of intensity, reading the water, fun at the helm, and camaraderie on board. Without ever losing sight of the spirit of the event: here, we sail seriously, but without taking ourselves too seriously.

On shore or at anchor, the day naturally extended into exchanges, debriefs, laughter, and discussions among fellow enthusiasts. It is often these moments that leave a lasting impression: advice shared among owners, feedback on a sailing trip, an anecdote from a long voyage, or simply the pleasure of gathering with people who speak the same language of the sea.

An event featuring passionate sailors

Loïck Peyron’s presence brought a valuable perspective to this year’s event, one that was at once expert, generous, and deeply human. Through his knowledge of the sea, his spirit of sharing, and his connection with the participants, he played a key role in making this Outremer Cup both inspiring and vibrant.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to Vagabonde Adventures, our partner, for their support and invaluable assistance throughout the event. Their presence greatly contributed to the quality of this edition and the smooth organization of the event in the Bahamas.

To all the owners, crews, and participants: Thank you!

Thank you for your trust. Thank you for bringing to life, once again, what makes Outremer unique: boats designed for real sailing, and a community that gives even more meaning to this adventure.

See you in 2027 for a new edition.
