The Open Sea, Lived-in.
A 17-meter long-distance cruising catamaran that can be sailed by two people.
You can cross an ocean in a matter of weeks. You can live on an Outremer for years.
The Outremer 57 was born of a dual legacy: that of the Outremer 55 and its hundreds of thousands of miles, and that of the sixty boats from the recent generation, whose feedback has shaped every design decision.
Six winches, a single helm, a double helm seat. A large catamaran that can be sailed by two people, day and night. The whole boat is designed for the long run: the cockpit for daytime sailing, the spaces that can be adapted to your lifestyle, the light streaming in through the roof.

Characteristics
MultiMode cockpit™: one cockpit, three modes
A boat doesn’t operate at the same rhythm at seven in the morning as it does at midday or midnight. The cockpit of the 57 doesn’t simply define three fixed zones; it reconfigures them as the day progresses. In the centre, the three-mode bench seat adapts to the rhythm of the day thanks to its adjustable backrest: coffee with a view of the sea, sunbathing during the hottest part of the day, dining facing inwards, and everyone facing the helm during the watch. Nothing to add, nothing to tidy away. The L-shaped cockpit offers protection without feeling confined, and the saloon is just a step away.
PivotHelm™: one helm, three positions
A single, downward-sloping helm at cockpit level. The helmsman remains connected to the water and the crew without being isolated at a height, as the 57 has no flybridge. Outside the cockpit, seated at the helm. Standing for tight manoeuvres and approaching port, where you want to see as far ahead as possible. In the cockpit for crossings and night watches, sheltered without losing sight of the boat. The helm seat allows two people to share the helm, to take turns, to learn, and to watch together. Six winches cover all sail and centreboard manoeuvres, all accessible from this station.
Plein Ciel skyroof™: the sky comes aboard too
The sea through the windows, the sky and the weather through the roof. From the saloon, you can read the weather without stepping outside: the approach of a squall, a shift in the wind, the colour of the sky at the end of a watch. The light isn’t just a decorative feature; it’s a daily necessity when you’re living on board for several months. The front and side hatches maintain air circulation both at anchor and whilst sailing, and the central galley island has been redesigned to suit life at sea as well as at anchor.
MY Spaces™: a boat that knows who you are
Customising an Outremer isn’t about adding options; it’s about tailoring a boat to your lifestyle. MY Free Space™ transforms the forward port cabin into a workshop, an office, a child’s cabin, a walk-in wardrobe, a skipper’s cabin, a double cabin or a super combo: six configurations chosen before construction and fitted at the shipyard, not added afterwards. MY Fun Space™ pre-fits the forward storage compartments for diving, kitesurfing or surfing. Added to this are seamlessly integrated storage solutions, effortlessly accessible technical areas and a load capacity designed for long-distance voyages.
Useful performance: speed, because the sea requires it
Retractable daggerboards, a well-controlled weight, and a sail plan taken from the 55. The 57 maintains high daily averages even when fully loaded for long-distance cruising, and this is what allows you to choose your weather window rather than simply having to put up with it. Speed is not a performance figure to be displayed, but a safety margin. The ride at sea remains smooth and stable, the helm retains the responsiveness for which Outremer is renowned, and all manoeuvres can be carried out from the cockpit whatever the conditions.
What remains the same across the Outremer range
A larger Outremer is not a better Outremer; it is the same boat on a different scale. Slim hulls, with a length-to-hull-volume ratio that prioritises gliding.Daggerboards, not keels. Weight centred, without adding bulk to the bows, which means an Outremer cuts through the waves rather than ploughing into them. A carefully balanced weight, because it pays dividends in speed, comfort at sea and range. No flybridge. Manoeuvres left to the helmsman. And a boat designed to be repaired, anywhere, even in the middle of nowhere.
